They never asked how you are. They never will. Students, you are. Your life is supposed to be easy. Predictable. Comfortable. Because why not? All you have to do is sit on that desk and study. Isn't it?
NO. Obviously not. If only they knew how hard focus is. How hard maintaining that 'perfect score' is. How hard the choice between resting and working on the upcoming assignment is.
I researched about it a bit. And I'd like to share that.

See? If it was that easy, why does these data exist?
Now this is NOT to validate your condition. Because I've seen: A normal teenager is scrolling through social media. And when he comes across any such content that somehow 'soothes' or 'comforts' his own struggles, his mood worsens. He might not be feeling that down earlier. But once he went through such videos, with those sad songs, those relatable comments, his mood just sours. He began feeling down. And he ruined his own day because of it. Without even realising that it's the content that caused that shift.
So, this is not about that. This is me trying to tell you something that you need to hear:
- Yes, teenage is hard.
- Yes, high school is hard.
- Yes, studies are hard.
- Yes, they are NOT just sitting and writing and giving tests.
- Yes, they come with stress, loneliness AND even depression.
- But that doesn't mean it's right or okay.
- If it's extreme, you SHOULD get help.
Just because it's 'common' or 'happens at your age' does not make it any easy to deal with.
So, before closing this blog. Pause and think. And really think. Not flowing in emotions. I know it's hard. But this time, instead of thinking of the problem. Think of solutions. Make your own ways to deal with such hard days. And if you can't, reach out. I know it seems the 'typical' professional advice to take therapy and all. But I believe therapy is something EVERYONE should take once a year. Even if everything is going well, you should take therapy. So, if everyone can and should, students should ESPECIALLY.
And don't forget to enjoy life. Studies are a PART of life; they are NOT life.
On that note, I'll see you tomorrow.
Stay safe, crush your goals and make memories.
